We offer our popular courses leading the NEW City & Guilds 6302 PTLLS award (formerly the 7303) for those primarily wanting to undertake a teaching role within the lifelong learning sector (post-compulsory education). This award is now specified as the minimum requirement for teachers and trainers within this sector under legislation since 2007 and also by a variety of awarding bodies to deliver thier qualifications.
The course is for both those both new to teaching or without prior experience, and those with teaching experience who need to gain the award or update their existing teaching or training knowledge and techniques.
Our popular intensive PTLLS course is delivered over intensive days each month, combining a variety of theories and principles with practical sessions throughout the its delivery.
The course is fully accredited and leads to the nationally recognised City & Guilds 6302 PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) award at either level 3 or 4, depending on your requirements.
The course covers areas such as the teaching role, teaching and learning approaches, session planning, delivering inclusive sessions and assessment methods. The award is assessed by completing a number of assignments and undertaking a small observed 'microteach' to your tutors and other learners whilst on the course.
Courses attract a wide variety of subject specialisms and backgrounds, along with a complete mixture of ability and experience. Whether you have either 'none' or 'extensive' experience, all our learners gain from this intensive learning route.
